I found a leak on the passenger side, just above the coolant connectors, to the front of valve cover (see pictures). Car was on ramp, and had been off for a couple of hours when I saw the oil drip. I don't think it is the valve cover gasket. What's the likely source of this? Thanks.

It could be perhaps several things. That cover comes off fairly simply, your drawn circle touches the lower clip of two. You might see where from on removal. It may be coming off the belt and just draining out of said cover. It may be getting on the belt elsewhere. It may be a cam seal, or maybe not. Upper and lower pan gasket leaks are common, see post above yours, these photos from 12v.org, and search this forum re oil leaks:

Are you sure its engine oil? Or could it be power steering fluid? I had a similar situation, and it turned out to be the PS fluid coming down the passenger side. Synthetic oil looks alot like the PS fluid when its clean. The PS fluid is like mineral spirits though.

There are some steps to Fixing the Oil Leak :
# The first and the most important step is to detach all the breather hoses and spark plugs off the valve cover.
# Now, just tease the bolts of the valve cover and then remove out the valve cover.
# Now place on the new gasket. But do not forget to clean the valve cover rim and prime it with a level of silicone sealant before doing it.
# Fix the valve cover once again. Start the vehicle's engine and then look for leakages. This would ensure that there are no oil leaks while driving.
