Default Nega-whoop LP, had to let it slide for the time being...

Seasonal cheer for another year to you too sir!

Time being that slipperiest of lubricants; and yet a most persistent abrasive.

I ordered the block coolant drain seal (O-ring) at the dealer, had to gave them the P/N listed here:

http://natwhite.mnsi.net/audi/

as they could not locate it on their ETKA.

I saw your post, how goes the clutch-job? What do you estimate it to run? It does sound lengthy. Dealer here has never done one!

Default

clutch job goes well.

the only issue was if the exhaust would come off without any probs, just got back form the shop and the exhaust cane off well. The mech was just putting the new gear oil in. I am sure he is test driving it as I type. Looks like its gonna run me just over 1K

Are you still planning on finding some V cover breather hose O-rings?

I just bought 2 of the seals that go into the master cylinder (same one you replaced) from the dealer and they charged me 10 bucks a piece.... gotta love the stealer.

Default update, just got the call...car is ready.... EDIT

I am so lucky I found a GOOD/HONEST Audi/VW Mech about a 5 min drive form my house.

The car feels AWESOME, shifts so smooth with new gear oil, and the clutch...pure orgasm feeling a new clutch.

Next is 2002 allroad Tranny mounts and a snub mount from VAP (once I get some extra $$) to complete the package on the FWD.

I will let the next 2 pictures speak for them self, I think I made out real well....

EDIT, just re red your post Lago. When you say your local dealer has never done a clutch job on a B4, does that imply you need one done?

If so, this guy is not too far from you (kingston still?) and you can see the pricing above, new bolts, new fluid..he even replaced the stupid anti tamper drain bolt in the tranny with a standard hex plug (like the read diff one) for free.
