Default High rev problem part 2. (possible intake leak)

The car starts up at 1000 rpm maybe a little higher. After I excel and stop at the first stop sight a block away the car performs normal, But when I stop the RPM only lowers to about 1800 rpm, if I sit for about 10 seconds they will slowly decrease to 1400 rpm and stay there until my next complete stop. Any thoughts as to what to look for maybe a vacuum reservoir leak I replaced six foot of vacuum line hoses, everyone but the vacuum reservoir because I was affrayed I wouldn't be able to get it back on. I was thinking maybe my throttle body was the problem, is there any way to turn the engine on and find out where a vacuum leak is. I have heard of spraying WD40 is this true. The cars not going in to the dealership until the 30th. So if I could figure out the problem before I have to pay them $80 for a diagnostic check that would be great.

Check the large vacuum line (10mm I think) that clamps to the passenger side of the TB.
