Default now my plan for the MAF won't work... I'M DONE. thanks for eveyone's help and knowledge!

I was just going to, in so many words, drill a hole and stick the stock maf in a new larger housing/pipe. Thats just not going to work with the computer.

There a few of you who knew I was about to throw in the towel. I hope I at least was amusing.

VAP, May I just ask where do all those pictures go? I search the forums, and read all about a picture that no longer exists.

Default Pic Poster at AW will only accept about 30-35 pics in the resolution I use...

which is very very high. And with all the stuff I do with the workshops as well as my own personal projects I have to constantly delete pictures to add pictures in my pic poster to suit more recent/current projects or, like today to take and show pics of how/why certain things can/can't be done. Right now I have almost 10G of "just" my B4/90 Audi jpgs on ten Sony 1G memory sticks and bought another 1G stick over Christmas for when I run out of space which will likely happen near mid-month. I somehow manage to take approx 1.5-2G of pictures per year on my car, various machining tasks and projects every year, year after year!

And I've been doing that at this forum for 6 years and at other forums here as far back as March of '99 for other cars I've owned that have long-since been lost since my back-up tape drive failed maybe 4 years ago. That would take a GINORMUS pic poster to hold them all ;-)

Default Re:GINORMUS pic poster.....

Photobucket sounds like what you need. uber easy to use. Even writes the code for you so you just have to copy and paste the text to your post and it displays the pic.

(I will wear you down!)

Default Not a chance! Just too many pics to sort through and too many personal photos of family holidays...

road trips, personal photos and other non-Audi stuff on those sticks in to sit down and sort through maybe 10-20,000 pictures. It's just NEVER gonna happen! Additionally some pics have identical names for similar pics on different sticks. Some have personal or proprietary elements in the pics like license plate numbers and confidential information etc. Stuff I do NOT want on the internet! Editing alone would take weeks/months. Life's too short!

In fact, short of maybe eating a baby I can't think of anything I want to do LESS! It wouldn't "wear me down" it would KILL me! And as I've told people here a thousand times over; if I post a pic that's of interest, snag it while it's posted cuz it won't be posted for very long!

Default I hear ya, but what I ment was...

pics that you ARE going to post, upload them to photobucket vice AW and they will display forever.

By no means did I mean for you to go thru all your old pics, that would SUCK!

Default I REALLY feel I already do enough just taking the pictures and describing...

what they are in great detail when I post them. My contribution to the 12V Development Forum is far and away 2nd-to-none as it is in both photos and content. My pic poster is always there, usually full or near-full and free to anyone if they want to do what you suggest they're welcome to do so. To suggest I do even "more" seems a little unfair to me.

If someone wants the pics I post then copy the pics I post. If someone wants them archived somewhere else other than my pic poster then archive them somewhere else. Sheesh, do I have to do it ALL!?! We've been thru this multiple times before... nothing's changed. I REALLY feel it's ENOUGH just doing what I do. If someone wants "more" then maybe THEY should do something. I've done the hard part. I've staged the pics, taken the pics and written the post for the pics while everyone else gets to reap the benefit without so much as lifting a finger beyond opening a post. There's no benefit for "me" in taking the pics as I already have the parts I took a picture of... I don't need the pics. If you guys want more than what I'm willing to provide then maybe it's time "you" did something?

Default agreed. however, I am not asking you to do any MORE, just the same.

only diff is to upload the pics somewhere else vice AW. once you start to use Photobucket I think you will find you are actualy doing LESS work as it is a more user firendly Pic poster, and you can uplaod multiple pics. It also does all the work for you with regards to direct links and HTML code for in a post body. You do not even have to click on "copy" just click on the text and it copys it for you.

No pressure, I just feel that I was misunderstood as asking you to do more... not the case. You do do do more than enough

Default "only diff is to upload the pics somewhere else vice AW" So sign off AW, sign on somewhere else..

then sign back on to AW and write the text then back to the other site to see the pic? Does PB allow text with the pic or do I do post text here with no AW photo then link to a pic elsewhere so text cannot be read simultaneously on AW while viewing the pic for that post at another site?

And if it's so easy why do you personally have 49 pics in your AW pic-poster. Seems if it were "just as easy" or "the same" for me to post all my AW pics at PB wouldn't it be "just as easy" or "the same" for you? Wouldn't all your pics be at PB unless I'm missing or misunderstanding something? Better yet if it truly is "the same" or "just as easy" why would ANYONE be using the AW pic poster!?! Why would AW even HAVE a pic poster!?!

Seems like more work for everyone and not just me.

Default Re: "only diff is to upload the pics somewhere else vice AW" So sign off AW, sign on somewhere else.

All my pics are in my photobucket account. Then ones in my AW account are older pics.

so I type in some text here (open photobucket in a 2nd tab or window) then click on the link for HTML code below the pic and it automaticley copys the required text for me.

( then paste text as I have done below and it comes up in your post as the pic, yes my cat loves the burgers)

<a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/?action=view¤t=DSC04433.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/DSC04433.jpg" border="0" alt="I can has"></a>

then I can type some more text here in AW and follow it with a 2nd pic (yes the cat is EVIL)

<a href="http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/?action=view¤t=DSC04446.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/DSC04446.jpg" border="0" alt="satan cat"></a>
there is also a option for direct links...same deal click on text below pic for direct link and paste it here in AW post
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/DSC04446.jpg

I know it seems kinda confusing, but it is SUPER easy. If you have some time one day, give it a shot and make the call for yourself. Any questions just ask.

Default Then if it's "SUPER easy" it shouldn't be a problem for you to PB my pics as they're posted ;-)...

because as I said above I certainly will NEVER, even once have need for a single pic I've taken in the past as I have the all the components that I took the pictures of. Only reason I EVER take and/or post pics is for others benefit and none of my own. This is EXACTLY where we ended up last time we had this IDENTICAL discussion. It isn't going to change.

There now wasn't that easy ;-)
