Take the plenum out and move the coolant reservoir out of the way for better access. You will have to stick your hands down there and work the wire connectors through the maze of wires and hoses. I had to snip a few cable ties. Half an hour should be enough time, all in all.
Now, if you want to re-route the wires back under the IM, you could do it with the aid of a stiff wire, but I think you'll lose some skin and nerves. ;-) The wires will come out from under the IM near the TB, and the area is really tight and crammed with wires, brackets, hoses etc.
