I went to midas to have a leakdown test
done and they said that my left head
gasket was leaking pretty bad,
It has leaked ever since I bought the car
but lately its been really bad,
has anyone ever replaced there head gaskets?
If so, how long did it take?

Took me several days. Alot of time will be spent cleaning. Plus I changed the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, and the other rotating pullies while I was there. Also found several leaking seals, that could only be changed with the timing belt off.
DIY- several days, working 8 hours a day, and depending what else you find that needs changing.
New head gaskets "require" new head bolts. Also new intake manifold gaskets, and new valve cover gaskets/seals.
I also changed my valve guide seals, since I had the heads off. ;O)
