Default Aha - thanks for clarifying that!

I was aware of the sequence that is used for torquing new head bolts, but I thought the 1/4 turn referred to retorquing old bolts!

By the way, why won't Audi tell us the definitive final torque?

Also: would the torque values be the same when using Raceware head bolts?

Default Racewares

The same torque sequence would apply to the Racewares.

Difficult to say why Audi doenst give a number, but the torque is high enough, and the effect of the stretch bolts, maybe one reason? ;O)

Its possible to measure the final torque, but the instrument needed costs mucho cash-o!
