If anybody finds oil that meets VW 504.00, you can use it
VW/Audi is consolidating oil specs:
VW 504.00 replaces VW 502.00, 503.01, and VW 503.00. The only Audi gas engine that requires an oil other than VW 504.00 is the RS6 (VW 505.01).
VW 507.00 replaces VW 505.00 and VW 506.00. VW 505.01 remains required for the 3 and 4 cylinder PD engines without DPF (diesel particle filter), while VW 506.01 is required for R5 and V10 TDI.
That's a total of only four oil specs and down from 8 specs! From what I have seen an oil that meets VW 504 usually also meets VW 507, so essentially three types of oil cover now the entire VW/Audi engine lineup.
Both new oil specs fall under ACEA C3. ACEA C3 is the latest generation LOW-SAPS specification (oils that contain lower quantities of sulfated ash, phosphor and sulfur rests than conventional oils), which helps prolong the life of emission reduction systems. This may prove useful for us, who have older card and who would like to maintain functional cats as long as possible.
VW 504.00 is backwards comaptible with engines that require VW 502.00 (VW 500) oil like our 12v engines.
Another thing that I noticed: Both new specs are normal HTHS (=/> 3.5) oils, VW/Audi is doing away with those nonsense low-HTHS oils (VW 503.00 and VW 506.00).
As far as I know no VW 504.00 oil is yet available on the NA market, but these oils have come out in Europe only late last year.
To sum it up, keep using any VW 502 or ACEA A3 oil. If you can find VW 504.00 oil, you may want to give it a shot.

Well, I don't expect to see any of that stuff very soon
I'm also not sure it's really better in terms of wear protection.
I have been looking for a syringe to make that dispenser, but Audi Junkie's lead turned out to be waste of time. That injector thingy has an elastomer -tipped piston. I ordered a couple syringes, so I hope to have an update for you soon. Locally, I can't find anything. I hope you can manage with the fuel hose for a little while longer!

Yep, the fuel hose has been OK. Last tank I didn't notice much of and improvement but
I didn't put the FP60 in until 1/4 tank was gone. I need to keep that stuff in my car. I had a quart of oil crack open in the little cubby hole before (luckily it's water-tight) so I'm hesitant keeping stuff in there.
