IM workshop on the way, huge missmatch

It is fun isn't it...
Certainly others may laugh but I did a good deal of my injector port matching with large hand files and I particularly like the fine control I have with those. It also beats the respirator mask/goggles/ear defenders and running the shop-vac full-time that I've used while power-porting. The non-powered method may help you ease up to the line.
I also (following VAP's suggestion) used a dark marker pen to colour the mating area, then scribed ever so lightly into that ink/dye, rather than into the alloy of the head; that made the 'border' easier to see while working.

i think i will be up to speed when i get my car put togeather never drove her more than 10 feet!!! was a customer car until the timing belt slipped. its a mystery to how seeing as it was parked when it did!!!! tried to start it and clang! any ways... throttle body done, p&p almost done, tuned port on manifolds, IM being re ported, fiberglass intake plenum almost done, ordering oil catch cans, straight rear muffler pipe with twin tips. dunno what else to do airbox goes in the trash when my fiberglass plenum is finished.
I really want to know if i am going to feel the new power behind the tires?
and is there any thing else i can do in the week or two weeks?
