Default In1 and In2

Well I have had In1 for awhile, it sounded like it was just a basic service reminder. Now I have In2 flashing at startup. Is this one likely the TB/major service?

I need to find a someone locally to borrow the timign tools from or else rent them from the interwebs. Any recommendations where to buy the TB stuff over any other places (IE these people use cheap chinese knock off tensioners, and these people use high end german OEM or better parts)?
Anything else that should be done for these lights? Front brakes were recently serviced, fuel filter recently changed.

flashing light in the instrument panel programed at the time of service to tell you when the next service will be due (miles/days). In1 is a smal service In2 I believe is a large service like TB.

I'll have to search Ebay for the tb tools again. the car has 170k and I am not sure when the tb was done so I am doing it early may at the latest. as I have weekend masters classes until then.

The service interval reminders "In1" and "In2" have to be reset using VAG-COM. I think that I had to buy the licence before those could be reset, the freeware won't do it. From my notes, which are sketchy:

Select Instruments, then Adaption, then channel.

For example: Oil reminder: Channel 05, for 12K km (almost 7500 mi), enter 00012

In1 can be set for distance in km, or time in days. In2 can be set for time only.

WelI don't have the desire to spend money to reset these codes. I will just do the timing belt next month and mark the date.
