Default Intake Manifold removal procedure

Gentlemen,

I purchased a 95 A6Q recently, and I would like to take the Intake Manifold off to clean a few items.

What is the procedure for this?

Thanks,

Tom

Default One bolt at a time...

The tricky part is the 2 on the back side under the throttle body.

Default REPLACE THE INJECTOR SEALS, NEW GASKETS, REPLACE VALLEY PAN GASKET, PLUG THE INTAKE PORTS ON THE

HEAD IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME AND INCLINATION, CLEAN(ARROW-MAGNOLIA BULLDOZER)AND GASKET MATCH THE IM. ILL THINK OF SOME MORE STUFF IN A WHILE.

Default Re: One bolt at a time...

Do I need to undo the TB bolts, or will it lift out when I remove the IM?

Thanks,

Tom

Default You can leave TB, EGR, ISV, etc on the IM when you remove it...

provided all connectors have been disconnected.

You should take it all apart and clean everything, but during removal it can all stay connected.

Default I must be getting blind

Upon closer inspection, I found the 4 additional bolts hiding near the fuel rails. The IM is now loose and I'll be getting to the valley pan gasket in short order.

Thanks for your help.
