Default Re: Jazz Guitar...

Here's a little clip of me playing some Wes (along with a midi band!).

What kind of jazz are you into?

http://12v.org/FILES/ED/fouronsix.mp3</a

Default Re: Jazz Guitar...

nice 4on6

I just moved to an area without a jazz scene. I feel like a ***** playing rock/ reggae to make money. But hey, making a living with my guitar is ok with me. It could be worse.

I've been into Avishai Cohen, Esperanza Spalding and Niels Pedersen/Philip Catherine duo lately.

http://www.myspace.com/jeffpadgett</a

Default I've met and been taught by Jimmy Bruno a few times...

Multiple years at the Duquesne University music school, and I also ran into him while on vacation in Hilton Head, SC, and got to sit in with him for a song, good times!

He is absolutely amazing though. It's a gift to see him play in person. I have some great tracks of his if you are interested.

Default Very nice, you're much better at jazz than I...

I play all styles but I'm really into hendrix, srv, beatles, any good blues, most jazz, rock. I'm a big fan of Phish/Trey Anastasio as well.

Default Actually it's a custom Telecaster...

Lots of mods including Duncan humbuckers and a Bigsby, the amp is a Twin Reverb.

A good archtop would have a much "bigger" sound, but my guitar is very jazzy on the neck pickup.

Don't remember where the midi came from.
