Default Just a note for those considering RS4 front bumper with ram air.

For quite a while I have been pricing a Complete Reiger RS4 body kit. My biggest problem is such a high $ item with no performance gains. I've been trying to figure out a good way to make a larger ram air duct for the front of the RS4 bumper = the only way to make a body kit produce more power. Well...while walking through Lowes I walked by the perfect solution. They have plastic Roof vents for exhaust gasses that get shingled over when doing a roof job. These thing will work perfect!! Large 12x9 (roughly) oval openning into a rubber flexible 3" hole. and the flat part that would lie flush with the roof is hard plastic like that of my current butler duct. Figured I would share in case anyone has been contemplating the same thing. I'm figuring that you could maybe build 1-3 lbs more boost at 70mph than the old ram air set up. It would at least make me feel better about spending $1500 on all show and no go.

A cool idea. I'll check those out at Lowes next time. What ducting do you use to the airbox?

Default I saw that item at Lowe's today. Definitely cheap and useable. I wonder if anyone...

has considered using ABS plastic tubing instead of silicone hoses for the intake runner? It is super cheap, smooth on the inside and is made in 3" I.D. I'm intrigued....

You would need some type of flexibility for the torquing of the engine.
