Mance's Solid Strut Mounts are the best upgrade so far...

I put about 250 miles on the new solid strut mounts and to say the least they are the best upgrade I've done so far. The SXTB is a very close second, but the unbelieveable difference in the front end feel gives the SSM's the prize. If you didn't have the chance to get in on the group purchase they are still worth every penny.
Ever since I put sport springs and koni adjustables in the ride has been worse than I ever imagined. Every single undulation, bump, etc. would cause front end bounce and incredible "shock" to the dash, can't imagine what was happening to the strut tower. I expected the shock to the dash but never thought I would have the bounce with the new springs and koni's. At one point the koni's were turned all the way to the firmest setting and still bounced. I even installed "upgraded" stock strut mounts with the new set up thinking I'd be all set. People driving behind me must have thought I was nuts the way I had to slow down and swerve to avoid the bad road conditions. The NY Tri-state area leaves a lot to be desired as far as roads are concerned. Truth be told I considered going back to the stock config. given the results I experienced. Needless to say the weak link was the POS rubber mounts.
Since installing the SSM's the bounce has disappeared and the shock to the dash is relegated to the harshest of bumps & potholes, even then the front end still feels solid as a rock. On a scale of 1 to 10 it has gone from an 11 to a 2. Instead of the car feeling like a bunch of pieces loosely bolted together it feels like a one piece unit. Also no more fighting the wheel over uneven roads. Obviously steering response and feel are in a new league.
Mance said we would notice significant improvement, a modest understatement IMO. I'm not trying to blow smoke.. it's just that in each of the vehicles I've owned and modified there is always a mod that stands out above and beyond the rest and I believe this to be the one for my 90Q.
This is all just my opinion, if you have any questions or comments please feel free.
Thanks for peeking.

Its a bored out throttle body forV6 12v engine, and "s" in front stands for special - meaning its bore after the primary butterfly plate is larger than regular thus allowing more airflow. XTB is just what Mance named his product

in my garage, waiting for delivery of the RS2 front I ordered almost 2 months ago. Once I have them both and Mance's adjustable links I'll get them in. Although with the weather improving oversteer is not going to be much of an issue so I might not wait for delivery of the RS2 front. Judging by some recent posts I'm not going to hold my breath.
Was about to order poly bushings for the CA's but I recall a post that some delrin's might be available in the near future.
When I get out of work I'll send you an e-mail from our earlier conversation. Thanks Mike.
