They list it for the 5w30. Also, are the Mobil 1 motor oils group IV? I thought I recalled you saying they were but can't remember for sure.
Also, any recommendations for switching to synthetic in my wife's Camaro? I am currently running dino 5w30 (which I see you don't think too highly of :-) ). Mobil recommends 5w30 or 10w30. Any other brands to look at? Thanks!

The HTHS was published somewhere, but I can't recall the location. Probably it was on a Euro or Aussie Mobil website. Anyway, T&SUV matches the current Delvac 1 exactly, and both oils have HTHS 3.9. cSt at 100 degrees hints at HTHS, which is measured at 150 degrees. 14.8 cSt (viscosity) correlates to an oil behaving like a 40 "weight" at that temperature, and it correlates to an HTHS viscosity of ca 3.9.
Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40
SAE Grade 5W-40
Viscosity, ASTM D 445
cSt @ 40ºC 102
cSt @ 100ºC 14.8
Viscosity Index, ASTM D 2270 151
Sulfated Ash, wt%, ASTM D 874 1.35
Total Base #, mg KOH/g, ASTM D 2896 12
Pour Point, ºC, ASTM D 97 -45
Flash Point, ºC, ASTM D 92 226
Density @ 15ºC kg/l, ASTM D 4052 0.854
Mobil 1 Truck & SUV

In Europe Mobil sells also this 5W-40 oil:
Mobil Synt S Special V 5W-40
SAE Grade 5W-40
Viscosity, ASTM D 445
cSt @ 40°C 92.8
cSt @ 100°C 14.1
Viscosity Index, ASTM D 2270 156
Sulphated Ash, wt%, ASTM D 874 1.2
Total Base, mg KOH/g, ASTM D 2896 9.7
Pour Point, °C, ASTM D 97 <-51
Flash Point, °C, ASTM D 92 239
Density @ 15°C, kg/l, ASTM D 4052 0.857
All Mobil 1 oils are Group IV synthetic oils. They contain probably a small amount of Group I or II due to better solvency of additives in those base oils. I don't know which Mobil oils, other than Delvac and T&SUV, contain Group V ester oils.
I believe your wife's Camaro will be perfectly happy with M1 10W-30.

I thought it would be more. Given the benifits.
I'm guessing cost is probably the main reason some still use Dino...

I know some auto parts stores are selling RL now. However, it's hard to find one that sells the RL oil and Gear oil both in the same location, at least that's around my area. So for this oil change I am just going to have it shipped to my door. If the RL doesn't perform like I want it too I will give Amsoil a shot. Which of the two (Amsoil and Red Line) cleans the best, which is rated at the highest temp, and which one has the best wear protection? If you don't know off hand don't bother, I will look it up my self. I have no problem looking it up.

people having been brainwashed into 3k mile oil changes. $30 for new synthetic oil every 3k miles is a bit steep. The whole Iffy and Quack Lube service industry depends on people changing their oil frequently.

... but I'd give RL the nod in terms of performance. I do know that the RL 5W-40 has a very high ester content, so it may have an edge over the Amsoil, because esters are more shearstable than PAO. UOA of engines that have used RL show often higher metal concentrations, but this is attributed to the cleaning effect of the esters and not to increased wear with RL.
The Amsoil is probably a dollar or two less per quart than the RL, and I would expect it to be an exceptionally well-made oil. The Amsoil can probably go farther than the Red Line, so the Amsoil 5W-40 could be the more economical choice.

Any synthetic oil (non-race oil!) will last at least 5k miles in a street-driven car. How much longer the oil will last in any particular case can be seen only if a used oil analysis is performed ($25-$40), which will show if the oil still has some legs. 5k miles is a good starting point for synthetic oil, and 10k miles is a reasonable expectation.
I'm waiting for a test kit right now and I will soon have results on the M1 5W-40, which has been in the engine for 8k miles.
