Default Disagree. The point of the oil is to seal the rings...

If there's still zero compression with the oil, it's more likely a valve or 2.

Have you tried a leakdown test to isolate where the pressure is escaping. You'll hear it in the intake, exhaust or oil pan. Then you'll know.

Default Believe it or not; bad headgasket was the reason, it blew between 4 and 5

I will upload a picture of it later; its 3:57am here (PST) and I am just going to bed; couldnt sleep till she was finished. Head was uninstalled gasket was replaced and car was put together, I wish it was just as easy as it sounds but no; in the process one of the freeze plugs on the head fell inside of it and I coudnt get it out of there, had to find a replacement. Do you think that loose plug can affect engine cooling?

Default I would recommend getting it out somehow...

try drilling and tapping something into it to pull it out? Might be easier said than done, but an option.

Default fair enough... I'm more used to the issues w/ the old I5 motors...

and when they fail/die, they collapse and cause ticking.
