Here's a pic of the Rotofera die grinder I'll be receiving next week. My Suhner sold yesterday to a forum member so I'm ready to get this lil puppy in here and see what she can do.
Little info:
Infinately variable speeds beteen 0-14,400RPM's with 7 click-detent pre-sets at 1,000, 1,900, 2,500, 3,800, 6,800, 9,600 & 14,400 RPM's.
The drive unit alone weighs 35lbs excluding cart, shaft and handpiece and consists of all helical gear drive and induction (brushless) motor with 1.3HP operating off 230 volt three phase power. Handpiece uses two sets of dual matched tapered roller bearing assemblies at front and rear of handpiece that are adjustable for pre-load and seven bearings encased in shielding around spiral-wound 14mm flexible spring steel shaft to insure shaft floats in shielding without contacting outer walls.
Wonder if I can get a leather holster made for it!?!
grunt-grunt-grunt (in my best Tim Allen voice).

and I've got all I can handle just developing the 2.8 12v/30v cars... the "neglected" Audis to take on a new project for a car I don't have access to. It just doesnt work making parts, sending them hither and yon without a platform in the garage to know what works or doesn't.
Also I'm retired, not a "business" per-se and just do this for fun/adventure. I really don't want to bite off more than I can handle or feel comfy with.
I hope you understand.
