Was working on fuel system in closed garage during winter, totally DA thing to do. Replacing fuel filters. Fasteners were rusted, taking me a long time. Was under car with coveralls saturated with gasoline. Noticed gasoline fumes around hot trouble light bulb. Did probably the worst thing, hit switch to turn it off... Whoosh...Was lying in a 20ft dia. X 3 ft. deep pool of flames. Don't remember getting out from under car.. but I must have looked like one of those running burning men you see in movies. Dropped rolled but couldn't get self put out. Mainly arms, hands, back on fire. Finally grabbed drop cloth, rolled up in it and fire went out. Audi still totally involved. Used small fire extenguisher but didn't effect it. Lost detached garage, two cars, Saab 900, Audi, tools, mowers... Luckily hadn't breathed hot fumes.. only mainly second degree burns. Still have issues about approaching fuel system. Be careful...
