Removing it w/o removing any skin is the trick! Actually, removal is simple too. Important tips:
1) uplug the connector that is on another component directly underneath the ISV or you'll never get it off. You may need a flashlight to see it depending on lighting conditions, or you could use the Helen Keller method.
2) don't drop the 3 nuts that hold the ISV on. As far as cleaning goes, all you've gotta do is spray inside the two chambers, let it soak awhile (some say 1-2 hours), repeat as often as your heart desires, & reinstall. Don't forget to plug in the connector underneath the ISV either.

ok so i'm going to go clean the ISV and put a new FPR....I don't really need an adjustable as i don't plan to do any major mods......but thats for the advice and i will keep you guys posted ......thanks again

ok so i took the isv off and cleaned it....and i had a question about it.....in the one hole where you can see something metal...it that suppose to be opened a little? well eithe rway it idles a little better but didn't fix the problem.....also the part store didn't have a FPR so got one coming on monday....but i took it off and spary carb cleaner in it trying to clean it....that little wire screen had alot of dirt in it.....after that on the test drive it still wasn't uite right but better tha it was so maybe i'm onto something there......I will replace it tomorrow and find out i guess.....I'll let you guys know....thanks

ok so i put a FPR on it today and nothing....then somehow i managed to make a hole in the exhaust so i figure i'm upgrading the exhaust now....the cats rattled the death rattle for a few months but finally stopped??? so the cats will be replaced maybe that will help.....who knows......it's got me stumped
