This has been something I've been working on for 6 months. Trying to get a better shaped, larger inlet velocity stack with rounded inlet lip for better flow that would fit the stock airbox without any modifications beyond trimming the internal plastic ribs.
After more than 15 variations I've got one now that will flow over 20% better than the original and should offer even less turbulence across the MAF sensor wires. I've been running one of these for a little over a month and it's definately an improvement over stock offering far more stable MAF output voltages as well as enhanced mid-to-high RPM acceleration.
Down side is it will cost more due to extra machining and I lose 20% of these trying to form them after annealing due to extreme stress on the aluminum. One out of five just simply "splits" under the strain of swaging them to a larger inlet mouth over the forming dies.
I'll still offer the old ones as I have so many to get rid of. But for those with VS orders in here now I'll offer them an upgrade at no charge. If someone wants these down the road they're going to run $15 more due to extra machining and ruined parts trying to make them.
Of coarse largest gain/benefit would come from a total Stage 3 kit and I expect the ported/polished intake manifold to go a long way towards even greater results. And that racing throttle body is sure to love this and be even better as a result.
One on the left is Stage 3 while one on the right is standard. You can easily see how much larger O.D. and radiused inlet lip is in the pic.

if you can wait for a Wednesday ship instead of today I'd be happy to upgrade you. You should still have it by Friday, Sat at the latest.

Please, let me know the amount I owe you, and I'll PayPal it right away, or you can send me a PayPal invoice (to my "real" email address, not the hotmail/yahoo one). Thanks!
