I'm happy to see Audi Junkie, my esteemed collegue from BITOG, agree with me on the M1 5W-40 ;-)
I've had that oil in for a couple weeks by now, and I'm loving it compared the weak 0W-40 sauce.

Mahle filters are also OEM
I'm not sure about Bosch filters bought at places other than the dealer. Normal US Bosch filter are reportedly made by Champion for Bosch. The Mobil 1 filter is supposedly very good, too.

My post on Buster's "racing" oil thread got deleted. I asked why he embraced retailer's oil suggetions and NASCAR teams' endorsment, while my Bosch mechanic's opinion and real race cars like Team PTG Racing M3 (5w-50 Syntec) and Champion Audi with RS6 oil (Formula R?) are ignored and insulted by him. Funny, I have recieved several letters of support, citing people like Buster and Jelly as know-it-alls. Those guys are brain-washed by Mobil to the point that lashing-out at me becomes justified, kinda like a "Mobil Possie". Patman, who drives a Firebird and is protective of American cars, always gets involved too late to help and they banned me without giving a reason. I should send him some florescent Budwiser sunglasses wear in his Firebird. Wait, that is the attitude that got me banned!
