Oil leaking on the timing belt?

Oil leaking on the timing belt?
Had my 94 Audi 100 into the dealer to have the A/C recharged. They told me that I had oil leaking on the timing belt and would have to get those seals fixed and the timing belt done again (I had it done just a year ago). I don't see how they would know what, though, without taking the front all apart and looking. Any thoughts?

Camshaft oil seals...
If they need changed, you may as well have the timing belt changed while you're in there.
Your mechanic could have easily just taken off the timing belt covers and seen the oil leak.

Go buy a "mechanic's mirror" and check for yourself
Pretty easy to inspect these areas quickly with a bright flashlight and a mechanic's mirror with a small pivoting head.
If you have an oily, grimey front engine area down by the crankshaft pulley, that's typically an indication that the crankshaft oil seal is leaking, but there are 2 oil switchs in that area that can leak too (one for temp and one for pressure).
But, spend a few minutes (in the dark is best) and take a look yourself.
