When I was talking about my current setup I was implying short ram intake
my setup is a short ram and I want to convert to a ram air
idk why I typed it how I did before lol sorry for confusion!

Should all be in the archives here as I did it 6-7 years ago on a B5/12V complete with atomospheric pressure numbers taken at the airbox and along the intake tract using a Dwyer Digital Manometer as well as acceleration times.
Chances are if you can "think it" its already been tried and is in the archives. And while I hate telling people to do this, try STFA.

Excellent choice. I would ask VAP if he can sell you one of his velocity stacks for the OEM air-filter box exit. That stack will allow you to immediatly de-screen your MAF housing. Both the OEM MAF screen and VAP's V-stack provide laminar flow to the MAF sensor, but the screen hinders flow, while the V-stack improves it. IMHO the low speed tractability of the car is improved with the V-stack over the OEM screen.
The question I have is whether you can mount his V-stack like I did; directly into the MAF housing, but into a later model car which I believe you have? My car (linked article above) is a '93 90.
In future you may also want to consider one of his MAF housings. The beauty of proceeding along these lines is two-fold. You are not re-inventing the wheel; and the improvements are cumulative.
STFA = (polite translation shown) search the Forum archives. You can get to the "Search Forums" option from the drop-down menu that appears when you click onto "Forums" in the red bar across the top of this page; or use the "Advanced Search" function that is found underlined near the top right corner of this page. If you get too many results, try to use search terms that will narrow down the number of responses. Obviously, some spend way more time searching and reading; than writing.
What you will find is that there is a list of what you should do, in what particular order, for the most benefit vs cost. I don't have any more time right now, but it's back there.
