Default I've tried this already..

I have a bunch of Audi's around... My daily driver is a 93 90 with the 4 wire MAF... I removed the sensor from the MAF housing, and took a large bore maf housing, gutted it much like URS4's MAF housing (hardly as nicely polished) and inserted the 4 connector sensor into the newer style housing. The car started right up, drove nice. HP improvements? Can't say it was noticeable because the car didn't run 100%. The 4 connector MAF sensor in the larger style MAF housing make the car jolt a bit when floored... As if it wasn't getting enough gas or as if it was getting too much. Never really looked into it further. I'm sure with a bit of research someone could find a good solution and be able to tune it to achieve nice results. The jolting wasn't very noticeable, but probably reduced the 0-60 time by 1 or 2 seconds.
