Possible? Recommended? Pros/Cons?
No plans to bore the MAF, but wouldn't mind freeing things up at least a little in there.

for the Audi 90. Just wrap the electrical tape on top of itself 5-7 times around on the 'flat' section at the base of the inlet taper. When it's the right thickness it'll slide thru the airbox outlet with enough friction to hold it in place seated all the way in until the tapered section meets the outlet hole and not be able to be pushed in any further.

Car is a 95 90, 11/94 build date.
Is the risk CEL's any greater or less when removing the screen?
Please pardon my naive questions, I'm trying...

So, in your experience, removing the screen and installing the VS won't cause me to throw a CEL? If so, sign me up for a snub mount and a MAF VS. I hear they package well together. ;-)
BTW, are you still working on tranny mounts?
