Default Retrofit to MMS-200..

I've come back to this forum several times trying to get my head around this problem.

*I got hold of a tuning ship for my 100 2.8Q -94.
*Opened up the the ECU and learned that the chip did not fit in my stock MMS-300 box.
*Here, I read that in fact is no way to chip the 300 system (yet anyway) and that retrofitting to an MMS-200 system was not much of a hassle.
*So. I located and collected a MMS-200 unit, opened that up and installed the chip.
*And here we are.

Before I switch out the ECU I want to understand this;
Do I or do I not have to also switch out the MAF?
I've read several reciepies including 471, 471A, big bore and swapping sensors between houses and what not

The stock has OEM-nr: 078 133 471. 3-pin connector. Looks and feels untouched.

Can someone shed some light on this for me, please?

I depends on the type of chip you get.

From what i understand, and i'm assuming you have the 034motorsports chip, if you get the stage 1, you dont need to upgrade the MAF since its designed for stock parts.

But if you have the Stage 1+ you will probably need the upgraded MAF.

Should be more info here:
