Default TAP Cone Intake

Anyone used or have any opinions on the TAP cone intake kit? They claim 8 HP and it seems pretty cheap at $125.

Default though the price is OK, you can do better...

Can you weld at all? Or know someone who can? You'd be better off making a MAF adaptor, picking up an akimoto air filter, and making a custom heat shield (which the tap setup doesn't come with). I bet you could do all that for the same price, or a little more, and it'd be better in the grand scheme of things.

Or, if you're not married to the idea of doing a cone filter, I'd suggest getting a Velocity stack and put that in your airbox. Email 1pissedoff90 about it... but do some searching on the forum to see what it's all about so you don't pester him with questions that have already been answered many a time

Default I have it, plan on replacing the filter, the only thing that you really need

is the MAF adapter to house a cone filter, if you can find that or make one you can pick up a better filter.

But the TAP is ok, comes with everything you need to do an install which is a plus.

Default You can get an MAF adaptor for about $10 with a cheap cone on Ebay, and get a good filter elsewhere.

I use a Big Mouth 6" filter and I love it. Got the filter for &lt;$50 shipped too.<ul><li><a href="http://intenseperformance.com/products/cone_filters/cone_filters.html">Intense Performance</a></li></ul>
