Is there a way to stop the air from coming on each time i....>>
start my car? I know that the compressor does not have to come on, but the regular air blows as soon as i turn the key to the "on" position and continues to blow after i start the car.
is there a way to stop it from coming on?

I noticed the climate control computer on the 96's looks slightly different than my 97.
Could work slightly different, too. Mine definately comes back on when I restart the car (which *is* slightly annoying).

Re: If I turn the fan speed all the way down, it'll be still off...
ditto...my 96 remembers whatever fan speed was on when the car is turned off and resets to that speed...sometimes the a/c (the little snowflake) light comes on randomly though, haven't figured that one out yet...

If I don't turn the fan all the way down...
it remembers the last setting when I turn on the iginition. After a second or two it starts blowing more or less depending on interior temperature.
