Default Thermostat without bleed valve

I have just bought a thermostat (not original Audi part) and have noticed that it does not have a bleed valve as described in the repair manual. Other than that, it has the same size, shape and temp rating as the old one. Has anyone else used a thermostat without bleed valve and had any problems with it?

Default Re: Thermostat without bleed valve

I have installed the thermostat and it is working fine. Though it did take a bit of driving at fully warmed up temp to remove the last bit of air.
