Default Those with Palm OS-based Shadetree VAG-COMs . . . How do you reset ECU?

I just got Shadetree VAG-COM Software, and it does all kinds of great stuff. However, I cannot clear the learned values from the Engine control module on our 12v's. Yet, I did it with ease on my wife's 30v. Anyone know the trick? (I can only imagine that the engine may need to be running on the MMS411 ECU; I will try that tomorrow but not tonight.)

I connected to the Engine control module, chose adaptation, channel "00", and pressed the "Clear Learned Values" button. Yet, no go.

Thanks in advance to whomever may know.

Default I have it too John and love it but I don't think you can clear the Hitachi without powering down...

In fact I'm pretty sure as I've seen Steve (owner Shadetree) do the same thing.
