well as you said, the light could make it APPEAR worse than it is....
I went home and did some comparing a not touched (factory)I.M. upper I have it seems that the amount of light coming thru my I.M. in question is not that much more than one form the factory.
If I did push the butterflies closed with my hands, I did get a bit of stick. I adjusted the pin stopper a bit and not i can not make it bind, even by pushing the butterflies closed with my hand.

um gotta ask a stupid question......
what would happen if you took those butterflys out of the picture but adjusted the throsslebody to make up for it? is this possible? because i want to make a custom plenum but i kind of conceived the idea forgetting about those valves...
