Update: Inspection Sticker ticket causes insurance to go up (worth reading)

I posted this morning about my friend getting a ticket for an expired inspection sticker and having his insurance points increase by 2 points.
He just called the insurance company and it is not a mistake. Apparently, the Police Officer issuing the ticket has the power to decide how many points your insurance will go up due to the violation, and it is marked somewhere on the ticket. This cop decided to be a pr*ck, and mark my friend's insurance up 2 points. My friend didn't know about the points, and paid the $50 fine without notice. So after the 30 days, and after he agreed to pay the fine, he lost all rights to dispute the case. Sounds ridiculous to me, but make a note next time you get a ticket.

Don't say that too loud. There was a paint & body shop in my town
that was spraying aircraft remover on cars a few years ago to boost business. There were only 3 shops in town at that time, but there are several now. Coincidence?
