i looked under the car and both sides of the engine was fine. there was a tremendous amount of oil on the belly pan, lower oil pan, transmission and catylic converters.
can oil possibly travel from the lower oil pan, to the belly pan, to the transmission, to the catylic converter intransit?
oil on the cat can ruin it!!!!!

Take a look under the intake manifold. Most likely there's a pool of oil down there. When you drive, the oil drips and runs down the back of the engine, giving the car a nice rustproof undercoating. Some oil may run on the exhaust and cats, where it will burn up and smell real good. Peek under the intake manifold. The valley pan cover is right between the heads, and it loves to leak. Replacing the gasket requires removal of the IM. Plan on 4-5 hours.

Its on the block on the side of the oil filter, just above and behind it. There are two O-rings on it that may be your problem.
Its a black sensor with a 6 point bolt that holds it in. Otherwise, check around the oil cooler to see if it can be comming from there.
