Vent line from EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve

Vent line from EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve
When pluging the connection to the noise damper do I also need to plug the end of the egr vacuum reguator solenoid valve? or do I just leave it free to vent under the hood? Thanks
