Well, the decision has been made, I'm buying another engine.
After I got word back from the engine shop that the crankshaft was out of tolerance I made my mind up that I was done with this block/engine.
I'm getting a long block from Force5 and when it arrives we'll be swapping out my already resurfaced and rebuilt heads. might as well do all the timing service..etc.
Please keep the "I told you so's" to a minimum.

I knew I'd get some flak. Up until the crankshaft it still seemed like a good idea.
For a few extra $$ on a rebuild I know everything about the engine. On a used one you still take a chance.

**** man, you give up too easy. That's what they make 10 over bearing shells for!
Meanwhile, I've got my Euro-barge block back together and the machine shop has finish welding up the head, surfacing it, and new guides and a valve job are in the pipeline for tomorrow and Friday.

Euro-Barge engine damage thread w/ lovely pictures
