Default thanks for the links dowsett6, but am I missing something or confused here? help me out........

It seems you were confirming my post regarding the "centrifugal" s/c on a 12v (and correct me if I am mistaken) . and it seemed like you said there was one on ebay (etc.). But the pics and ebay link are depicting a roots style supercharger such as the one in production for the 30v.(and the supposed!!!murderdyne job).

By your first response it sounded like you were understanding what I was saying ("..hangs off... pass side..") but the pics and links on the next posts were of a different beast than you and I were origionally talking about. was that unintentional? (not at all being condescending, just a bit confused myself)

Just in case, or for anyone else, I was referring to the style of s/c that resembles a turbo....which as dowsett6 said, and I too would imagine, could just as easily be installed under the hood of a 12v if there is sufficient room made for it. and it seems that it would be a much simpler install- and why couldnt it work for the same reason that whats-his-name's turbo was working.

Default Ya sorry about that. the car in the link had the PES style s/c

the centrifugal s/c's would have to have a lot longer belt setup to get it to turn.

Maybe thats why the people said it couldn't be done. But if you can figure out a way to route a belt over to it, then it shouldn't be that hard. Other then some custom brackets.

Default haha, ya I wish. hopefully I will trip over one walking out to my car tonight when leaving work.

Sounds like its time to get that efk and instead of getting rid of the fan clutch pulley, just extend it out an place another pulley there to go over to the pulley on the centrifugal s/c.

I will look for some info on the dimensions of the s/c, but what sucks is that we would have to mount the s/c with the air inlet facing the rear.

But if tubing could then take a 90 degree angle and go down and then curve over to the front of the passenger side fender liner, you could do the fender liner mod where they cut a bunch of 1 inch holes there and then put screen over the holes to keep big **** out. Not sure if it would suck up alot of water or not though.

This all sounds good though.

Default A table of info about prochargers

looks like the middle table would be best for us. those ones have a 3" outlet.

from what I have browsed through, the P-1SC model looks like it would work nice for us.

here

Default i just randomly found a picture of the pes s/c I was talking about, that hangs off the side

apparently its the gen 1 model. but we would have to do something like that with the centrifical s/c as far as belt routing.

Also we might be able to use a U bend hose for the air intake, as it looks like they have more space then I thought there was.

Default That is a nice install.

I found a PES G2 on e-bay for 1500. Also Robsaudiworld.com has a good 30v s/c page. how similair are the 12v and 30v intake manifolds?
