wow I really should be studying for finals tomorrow (in 8 hours), but I'm stalling.

In a month or so. ;-) By the way, I didn't make the connection with Chapelle's program either. Of course, I don't have cable.
PS regarding the other thread: Those are nice toys for the A-10! I saw one perform in an airshow years ago. It was very impressive.

I prefer satellite over digital cable, but we're not allowed to have them on base. The generals at Langley say that it looks too "tacky." Yes, the A-10 is an awesome plane. It can claim the same motto as the B-52: "Rivaled by None." With the new addition to the A-10, it has stepped into the F-16's territory as a multi-role fighter. Up until now, the F-16 has been the only multi-role fighter.
What is a multi-role fighter? It is a fighter capable of carrying out a dogfighting, bombing, & attacking (tank killing) mission simultaneously. Most fighters can do all of these missions seperately, but not simultaneously.
I'm glad to see the A-10 step into that role since it's by far the best Close-Air Support (CAS) aircraft of any type. When the Marines need CAS for "laying down the lead" on the enemy that surrounds & is about to overtake them, there is no sight they like better than an A-10 over head. I've heard Marines say that they prefer it over the Harrier (their own CAS aircraft), & that's saying a lot since Marines are typically stuck on themselves. Harrier pilots don't like hearing that their plane sucks though (but it does). If you ever get the chance to see an A-10 do a live fire demo, take it! It is a very devastating display of firepower. BTW, it can dogfight quite well too.

I saw a Warthog in an air show. It was doing high speed low level flight, low speed low level flight, it demonstrated nose-diving, it did rolls and Immelmanns or what they're called. It was truly an awesome display.
