2.0 Turbo

With the 2.0T engine does the turbo kick in at a certain RPM figure? Is the best way just to assume its kicked in when you feel the wallop of acceleration?

For stock turbo, most effect is felt after 3000 rpm and starts to dropoff after about 5000 rpm.
