I picked up a cheap Q5 with a broken actuator arm. I need to actually get the car up on stands tomorrow and look closely, but for those of you who are not watching the Super Bowl, maybe you can tell if this is fixable? It kind of looks like a clip is missing that allowed the actuator to fall off the rod! That would be an amazingly cheap fix...
Depends on why the arm came off the actuator rod. But yes, it's missing the circlip that slides onto that slot in the actuator arm pin to keep the wastegate arm on it. There's no VW p/n for the circlip, it's a part of the turbo assembly from the IHI.

I was able to pop a new E clip on (took half a day) but that fixed it!
$6.99 assortment with 299 leftovers for later. Wastegate seals nice and tight too. I am shocked. Lottery ticket day...
