Default Diverter Valve Failure

I'm at 9K miles now - have had APR 93 program for about 2K miles. Is there a good way - besides yanking the current unit - to determine if my DV has failed?

I'm getting a 'weird' noise during acceleration (approx. 2 - 3.5K), especially in cold temps.

If it's not a failure, wondering if I should just pre-empt with the Forge unit.

Appreciate insight (beyond STFA). Thanks.

The begining of dv failures....buy a forge call it a day.

Default The OEM electromechanical DV is better as the Forge goes back to vacuum assist...

If you're really having problems, I'd consider a DV relocate kit so that you get it away from the heat.

Goes back to vacuum assist? Explain the difference between OEM and Forge please?

Default The OEM is actuated by a solenoid, so the response is fast. The Forge uses engine vacuum...

like the older 1.8T engines did. The OEM should give much better response time than the vacuum assist.

Default The latest OEM DV's seem to hold up well...

The other option is to do a S3 DV relocate.

i have an 07. how can i tell if i have the 'g'? looked for s3 relocate too ... no luck
