Does anyone have any experience with the oil system on this 2.0T? Last week I had a low oil PSI light come on then go out, next day it came on twice. I decided to change the oil to 5-40 about 5 min after I had a solid light. I removed the oil pan to inspect what could be the issue, I had noticed the balancing shaft has a little play in it. From what I hear it will cause a problem. I'm just not sold this is the problem. The screen and pan were clean. I still didn't remove the oil pump out of the housing, car suffered a low oil pressure about 40k miles ago on -10 deg cold start up and seized the cam in the head. It has been running fine with 0-40 oil, I've seen some videos where balancing shaft just slops around, mine isn't that bad but it does have some play. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Is it low at idle or at higher engine speeds? Mine was the pcv system causing low oil pressure at idle (before starting to throw lean at idle codes). Try pulling the oil cap at idle, if you can't get it off, then it's most likely the pcv allowing excessive vacuum and reducing fuel pump suction pressure which starves the pump.
