"All Audi 'A' engines are notorious for burning oil". Said by a very skilled and experienced Audi and VW mechanic.
I was about to buy an A3 and he told me the above so it I bought an S3 instead. Forged pistons and more ...

I have a 2014 vw tiguan with a 2.0 tsi motor with 95000 miles,,,each week I add a quart of oil ,, already was given a quote of $6000 to repair the piston rings but no one mentions possible damage to the catalytic converter ,, I get a black soot inside the exhaust tips,, they cost $1600 to purchase if you live in California,,
