CT Tuning shop - GREAT experience
All,
Thanks for the posts on where to get a Tuning done. I chose to follow the advice I got on AudiWorld and am THRILLED that I did. I went to EPL (European Performance Labs) in Stratford, CT. Tony (owner) is not only highly knowledgeable, but also a high integrity / fair businessman.
I have a 2000 A6 2.7T and he was able to tune it up to over 350 Bhp at the wheels! This is with K04 Turbo, new plugs, and a new MAF (and RS4 clutch, of course). Other than that, it's all stock. I'm dying waiting ~300+ miles to work in the clutch to truly feel the power, but the custom dyno work he did (with printouts) is quite impressive.
If anyone is in the tristate area, I would highly recommend him and his rates are much more reasonable than APR shops I looked into.
All the best and thanks again!
John

Re: may I ask....
Re: Software, it's EPL's own Software code (they flash your cpu, I think). I had him write over my old APR stage I.
Re: Cost - Tony will be straight with you. I found it to be highly reasonable.
However, I also had my stock clutch replaced with an S4 clutch and found out my flywheel needed replacement as well, so that added unforeseen cost (Tony works with Fairfield Motor who did a great job and were reasonable with hours -- well below book time!).
Best of luck and feel free to email me directly.
