Default My intake air temp sensor seems to report wrong values

Before starting the engine this morning, I connected my vag-com and checked the intake air temp. It reported 15 celsius, 10 more than the actual outdoor temp, and 4 more than my coolant temp.. I then started the engine and it immediately dropped to 12. During the drive to the office, the minimum temp recorded was 8... Is this normal, or is my temp sensor due for a replace?

Default your IAT sensor isn't outside, so it won't read exactly what the outside temperature is.

your IAT is inside the engine, so it will be close but not dead on as a cold engine. then, as it gets heated up due to being surrounded by the engine stuff, the temp will change accordingly.

do your IATs change accordingly on a FATS run?
