Default ipod problems

took my car in for first service today. only problem i had was ipod touch 32GB used to work fine but now just says "loading" and never connects with the MMI. dealer switched cables and tried to get it to work but could not. they hooked up a tech's ipod and it worked fine so told me "its your problem". my touch works fine connected to a bose player in the house, on its own, or connected to itunes. any ideas? would try to reboot MMI but i have misplaced my MMI manual.

Perhaps reset your Ipod.

Yep, if the tech's iPod worked in your car then the issues is most likely not with the car. May need to restore your iPod. Make sure to backup first!

Every once in awhile, my iPhone bluetooth does not auto-connect. I just go to the iPhone's bluetooth, select the Audi device and all is well again.

had to go to phone bluetooth and manual connect each time i got in the car. blackberry forum said "remove battery with phone power on". as soon as i did this it connects every time.

Battery pulls are the cure-all when it comes to CrackBerrys. Unfortunately no such option w/anything Apple...

I had this occur recently with my iphone 3g. It happened after I upgraded my iphone to iOS4, which turns out to be a massive turd for a 3g phone.

After trying about 3 times, it worked, but it stuck in loading the first several times. I think something changed with the new iphone/ipod touch OS4. Does Audi ever update the firmware in our cars when we take them in for normal service?

This happened to me too, happened right after I upgraded to iphone 4.0 software on my iphone 3g. Did you upgrade your touch right before this started happening?

Mine sits in loading... for ever... Then I swap a few other ipods in and out, try again and it eventually works.

If this is an incompatibility issue between Audi MMI and apple's iphone os4, will Audi be able to release a firmware update to our cars to fix it?
