Oil recommendation

Quiet in here for this awesome award winning engine...

What oil is everyone using? I'm thinking M1 for its value. Any thoughts on rotella T6? Seemed popular on the 2.7t.

I've always used AMSOIL 5w40. It always comes out on top from independent test.

AMSOIL European Car Formula 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil

I wouldn't use M1 it doesn't fair well when tested. Also there are different levels of of synthetic oils. If I remember correctly there are only a few that are of the highest grade, Amsoil is one of them.

I would feel safe using any oil that is approved on the Audi recommended technical service bulletin.
Just make sure whatever oil you decide on, states on the container that it meets 'Audi oil standard VW 502 00'.
