Default My 2.8 has a slight hesitation with fast acceleration from a stand still.

Anyone else experience these symptoms? Anyone have fixes for this or is this just the norm?

Default Hesitation is never the norm

It is usually a result of a bad burn. Could be as simple as a bad tank of gas, fouled up plugs, dirty air or fuel filter or maybe a vacuum leak. Or maybe you throttle body is dirty. Either way, it is usually a result of a lean or (less likely) rich condition. Get a VAG, do some logging, see what you fuel trim, O2 and MAF readings are. This will give you the information you need to diagnose further.

Default I just installed new plugs.......

also had the fuel injection cleaned with BG44k and some other stuff. Air filter is new, next thing on list is the fuel filter. No VAG as of now but thinking about it. What about the shadtree software. Vag is better?

Default Re: Could be throttle body valve

My 99 2.8Q gave that feel from a stand still as well. I took it in to get diagnosed both by dealer and audi specialist. Result is throttle body valve is damaged. Dealer wants $800 for job. Part is $500 cdn spec order plus labour. I'm doing mine next spring when the A4 comes out of the garage. Again get some vags done and try to narrow it down.
