Default Question regarding brake booster.

I've been having a lot of issues with brakes for long time. Not enough force while braking. Few years ago water got into the brake system, when the rain water filled the firewall due to clogged drain holes under the battery. I thought the water got into the vacuum system somehow. Now, I'm, not sure about it. I've been getting intermittent mechanical failures of the Brake Booster Vacuum Pump. The pump has been replaced 2 times. There was no big difference in braking "quality". Is it possible the Brake Booster itself is the problem here?

Default a comment.....

The vacuum for the brake servo is from(or supplied) from the engine intake. So, its worth checking for crankcase and intake vaccum leaks. You might consider flushing the brake system(clutch as well if applicable) with a quality fluid and then proceed with the factory diagnostic procedures outlined in the Bentley manual for the brake mechanicals(ie Booster, master, etc...). I replaced both of the afore mentioned on our 30v around 60k with a marked improvement. It worth inspecting the caliper and carriers for proper operation. There is a tendency for the pads to bind or cease on the carrier as well as the guide pins ceasing up due to lack of lubrication or the sleeves are worn.
Regards

Default Finaly did, what I was supposed to do long time ago...

I replaced the seals in both front brake calipers. The brakes were really bad for long time. The steering wheel was shaking while braking at high speeds. Not enough power, banging in wheels while braking. Well, after replacing the seals (piece of cake), bleeding the old fluid from the system (took me 1 hour to bleed 4 brake lines with this clever tool, that's on the picture), I am happy to say, the brakes are like brand new. I really don't remember them being working so well. No shaking, power and no banging. One thing that kinda shocked me. The old fluid looked very bad. It was dark brown, with black particles floating in it :|
