My A8 tranny as an issue, the reverse is now slipping since yesterday.
My question is: I already have a wrecked 2001 s8 for parts. I have not much time to do the transplant engine and tranny in my A8 but so i would appreciate to run few months again with my A8 before swapping the all thing. So is anybody know if changing the oil and filter on my slipping tranny would make it work for few months again or it is 300$ spend to garbage?

Dont waste your money. If its slipping, the damage is done. Park it till you have time to do the swap. just my .02 cents Al

audi just recently release new AT fluid to address slipping trannies in the a8...it is EXPENSIVE but worth a try...i mean it is much cheaper than a new transmission.
