Default Carbon mirrors - any experience, good or bad ?

I fancy adding just some subtle carbon parts to my floret silver car. It's a little too silver and I think the contrast would look nice. Saw the genuine audi ones on a car today at a dealer and they do look good, but I'm not about to spend $700+ on them. I don't want them that bad !
I've seen them on eBay from Hong Kong or China for about $160 to $200 and in the US for around $280 (I think it may be a US supplier just reselling the Chinese ones). I've seen a better deal on the genuine Audi ones, I think it was Ngpracing.com, but I need them with lane assist. It looks like they only have non lane assist.

Has anyone any experience with quality of the non genuine ones ? I'm not interested in the stick over carbon covers, only the ones that come with the original abs plastic mirror cap covered with carbon, so you swap out the mirror cover.

I have the OEM ones, they are awesome... But no experience otherwise.

Step over to the A4/B9 forum and find threads and photos of the world's supply of carbon fiber, including a wrap for your key.

I don't think I could spend the $$$ for the OEM ones, but I agree they look really good.

I'll check out the A4 forum also. I'm pretty sure I did a quick search on there for 'carbon' but didn't find anything for mirrors. I'll give it another try. Thanks.

Decided I couldn't pay the $$$ for OEM ones and I found a set from China that were cheap enough to take a chance on and the seller had a couple of decent reviews on them. Once I have them I'll post pics and review them here so others can either buy with confidence or learn from my mistake !
